Renewable Energy

KR Saline and Associates is uniquely qualified to provide consulting services to the renewable energy Industry. Renewable developers can rely on our understanding of all phases of the development process, and our excellent relationships with local and federal transmission providers. Our experts have decades of experience with major utilities and KRSA has significant experience with solar thermal, photovoltaic, wind and hydro generation projects. Services provided to these projects include technical studies and the identification of permitting requirements for: large utility scale projects of hundreds of megawatts; smaller photovoltaic distributed generation projects; and micro hydropower projects. We provide consulting services to assess the feasibility of projects and to assist clients in conducting due diligence inquiries regarding critical issues, both technical and regulatory. We can assist clients in responding to utility-issued Requests for Proposal for renewable energy by providing strategic advice regarding interconnection and transmission service.

KRSA is actively involved in the regional transmission planning arenas at both the WECC and WestConnect levels and is well informed regarding planned and conceptual transmission lines in the region. We monitor transmission corridor planning by governmental and non governmental agencies and federal and state initiatives, and policy issues of interest to the renewable energy industry. Our knowledge of existing, planned and conceptual transmission lines, corridor planning, and renewable energy policy enables us to provide individual, customized assessments of the feasibility of a specific renewable energy project.
